MwStop® Bypass Home

The MwStop® Bypass Home combines backflow protection, a waste water pump, and odour and pest control in a compact, airtight built-in chamber, enabling the domestic drainage system to continue operating even in the event of a sewer backflow.

Normal operation & backflow

During normal operation, the integrated MwStop® check valve ensures reliable odour containment. When waste water accumulates, the membrane opens, triggering a flush and allowing free drainage. At the same time, the rat flap integrated on the outlet side prevents pests from entering from the sewer network. In the event of backflow from the main pipe, the integrated MwStop® backflow valve remains closed, protecting the building from backflowing waste water.

Bypass Function

Any further wastewater collects in the shaft; the float, which rises as a result, activates the pump and automatically starts the integrated waste water pump. The wastewater is drawn in by the pump and conveyed via the bypass pipe behind the closed valve. Once emptied, the pump automatically switches to standby mode.

Integrated pump test

An electronic control system also carries out an automatic pump test every 72 hours, thereby ensuring that the system remains operational at all times.
